Wood Species Selection
The wood species you choose changes everything about how a kitchen looks, feels, and ages. We source premium domestic hardwoods — hard maple, white oak, walnut, and cherry — and match the species to your design direction, finish preferences, and the light conditions in your kitchen.
What's Included
Hard Maple
Tight, consistent grain with minimal character marks. The standard for painted kitchens and a clean canvas for stained finishes. Very hard, very stable.
White Oak
Warm, open grain with distinct ray fleck pattern. Pairs beautifully with both light and dark stains, and holds up to aging with character.
Black Walnut
Rich, dark chocolate tones with flowing grain patterns. Used as a feature material for islands, open shelving, or full-kitchen designs where warmth is the priority.
Cherry
Reddish-brown tones that deepen and mellow over years of light exposure. A traditional choice for warm, classic kitchens.
